Description

The GR equipment cooler operates on the heat exchange principle. It
therefore requires water in the form of cooling water, well water or similar.
The cooler rating depends on water temperature, water volume and air
temperature.



 

Technical design

The 19” rack mount is completely ready to mount. The front panel is made of anodized aluminium. The ON/OFF switch is mounted on the front panel. The heat exchanger consists of copper tubes with aluminium fins. It was subjected to a leakage test at 130 bar and therefore ensures a high degree of reliability. The fins are permanently fixed to the tubes by a special expansion process to provide a very high rate of heat transfer. The fans are sturdy, maintenancefree radial fans with high residual pressure. A high residual pressure means that the cabinet is swept by a good through-flow. This is vital to prevent heat pockets. The motors of the radial fans have a standard rating of IP 44, optionally IP 54. The bearings are roller bearings and are fully main-tenance-free. They normally attain a life of 40.000 hrs. The rotor paddles are dynamically balanced to VDI 2060, quality study Q2,5. Power is supplied to the equipment by a grounded inlet connector on the rear panel.

The front panel switch switches the complete equipment cooler on. The unit is fused by an integrated microfuse. On request, an integrated solenoid valve or a proportional valve requiring no external power can be fitted for temperature con- trol. The water connections are on the rear panel. The connections have a 1/2” outer diameter and a 3/8” inner diameter. The housing is totally enclosed by means of aluminium panels.

Direction of flow:
Feed-in left, blow-out right when viewed from the front panel.

Power socket:
Grounded inlet connector on rear panel.

Water connections:
For feed and return on rear panel; 1/2” outer diameter and 3/8” inner diameter.

Temperature control:
Option of solenoid valve or proportional controller. We will gladly calculate the ratings at other
temperatures based on your specifications.

Special voltages:
On request.

Condensate:
Does not normally occur. If it does occur at very low water temperatures, a drip tray with external drain can be fitted.

Warranty:
12 months from date of delivery for material and production faults.
