KN series heat exchangers; water / water; stainless steel

KN

Highlights

Very high heat transfer capacities thanks to special surface finish

Even small quantities of water have a high heat transfer capacity thanks to the design of the water circuit

The A-side is designed for high volumes and the B-side for low volumes

All parts which come into contact with water on the A-side are made from stainless steel.

No soldered joints or seals

Low pressure losses on water side

Description

As a result of their design, the cross-section of circuit A is larger than that of circuit B. Very small water volumes are therefore also possible in circuit B. The specific heat transfer values refer to the initial temperatures in circuit A and circuit B.

They should not be regarded as absolute values and refer to deaerated
water with an average temperature of 40 °C. Please contact us for further details. Also available as KCC series heat exchanger for very low water flow rates (0.1-1.9 m³ / h).

Design example

Required capacity: 50 kW
Inlet temp. Circuit A 60 °C
Water volume Circuit A 4 m3/h
Inlet temp. Circuit B 20 °C
Water volume Circuit B 2 m3/h

If a specific heat transfer capacity of 1,25 kW/K is required, heat exchanger K2N
is sufficient. The pressure loss can be directly read off the diagrams.
