MLK Cooling System for Laser

All devices of the MLK series are temperature control units with two circuits that have been particularly developed to fulfil the cooling requirements of lasers. These devices operate with a temperature accuracy of +/- 0.06 to 0.1 K depending on the respective type.

MLK Cooling Systems are extremely quiet, in a distance of 1 m the noise level is < 54 dB in full-load operation.

The process water side has been optimized for DI water. The enclosure is a self-supporting one on rollers and coated according to specification.

The device is constructed in a way that it can be adapted to customer requirements. Options upon request.

Structure and Function

Enclosure
  • Enclosure completely powder-coated in RAL 7035 and 7021
  • Front air inlet
  • Rear air outlet
  • Device mounted on four rollers
  • Special internal insulation
  • Four lifting eyebolts for transportation
  • Inspection chamber for filter change
Cooling Circuit
  • Fully hermetic, with all fittings required like service ports, connections for external high and low pressure manometers
  • Fully hermetic Embraco compressor
  • Stainless steel evaporator installed in the water tank
  • Air-cooled condenser with speed-controlled fan
  • Electrovalve, filter dryer receiver, high pressure and low pressure switch, inspection glass with moisture indicator
  • Suction gas pipe with a diffusion-resistant insulation
  • Charging of oil and cooling agent
Water circuits
  • Water circuits with plastic water tanks with drain cock
  • Magnetically coupled rotary pumps in stainless steel with adjustable speed
  • Water side fully piped with/without flow sensor
  • Low liquid level control for pumps installed in the tanks
  • Liquid relief valve installed in the consumer circuit
  • Proportional valve for cooling water control for temperature constancy
  • All water-swept parts DI-waterproof
  • Filter unit in the consumer circuit
  • Water connections with 3/8“ external thread on the rear side
Electronics
  • Temperature control via digital controller in the electrical cabinet door of the device
  • Digital controller with/without data logging and touch-screen
  • Components easily accessible
  • All drives individually fused
  • Fully wired according to EN 60 204-1 and UVV/VBG4 with all switching, control and monitoring devices included
