Research and Development

We are among the top companies in research and development. It is our passion to further develop and optimize our products and to design and realize new and innovative cooling solutions. We are especially proud of SCHWÄMMLE innovations like our extra quiet GoSilent Cooling System or our particularly efficient systems for the cooling of wind power plants.

We manufacture cooling systems for research and science but we also conduct our own research. Among our clients are numerous universities, institutes and research institutions. We manufacture according to individual specifications like, for example, high temperature constancy or with a sophisticated measurement instrumentation and sensor system included.

One focus of our corporate philosophy is on permanent extension of our know-how through research. We are currently developing a modular cooling system for offshore wind power plants supported by the AIF. In addition, we are currently doing research on how best to develop a quiet and space-saving adsorption chiller for stand-alone operation at high ambient temperatures for capacities of up to approx. 5 kW. Our project is sponsored by the EuroNorm GmbH. Through a new heating solution this project is supposed to assure that a stand-alone operation of the adsorption chiller is also guaranteed at higher ambient temperatures.

Partner of Universities

Cooperation with universities and research institutions at home and abroad is a tradition with us. We are a partner of universities. As in 2010, in 2012 we also participated in the Solar Decathlon as a sponsor and partner of universities.

Innovation for the Future

In cooperation with the Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart, Germany, and the HTWG Konstanz, Germany, we have developed a special purpose-built reversible water/water heat pump – centrepiece of the „ecolar“ home’s building technology. Tailor-made laser cooling systems are used in research and science, e.g. at the Deutsches Luft- und Raumfahrtzentrum, Germany.
